Bragging Rights

Hey, I'm not usually one to brag. No, really, I'm not! But there's this old saying that goes something like, "nobody's gonna hype you but you." Actually, I'm not sure if that saying is old... the word "hype" is kinda recent... regardless, here's some Cosmicity factoids that help illustrate some of Cosmicity's success to date:

Since the debut release of "The Vision" in 1994, Cosmicity has sold almost 6000 albums, not including CD singles or compilations.

At Synthcon 2001 in Hollywood, Cosmicity was awarded "Synthpop Artist of the Year" at the American Synthpop Awards ceremony.

Cosmicity was also the first ever recipient of two out of four possible American Synthpop Awards in 2000. One for the song "Self Involved" in the category of Best Single and one for the song "Too Far Gone (Extremely No Good Mix)" in the category of best 12" remix.

Cosmicity has performed dozens of live shows in major cities accross North America including New York, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Salt Lake City, Dallas, Albuquerque, Chicago, Detroit, Washington DC, Baltimore, Richmond, Pittsburgh, Toronto, and even a show in Mexico City, Mexico. (Learn more at the live page.)

Cosmicity has been on over 30 electronic music compilations, along-side major artists such as Information Society, Red Flag, Alphaville, White Town, Anything Box and many more. (See list on the bottom of the albums page.)

Since 1994, Cosmicity has released 10 albums/EPs and 6CD singles for a total of 16 releases. (See complete list at the bottom of the order page.)

Coming in 2003: A new album called "Escape Pod For Two", as well as planned limited edition bonus CD. (Follow Cosmicity's progress on the Escape Pod page.)

I was elected "King of the Universe". It's a little known fact. Many have disputed the validity of the election, but I assure you, the universe elected me their king. It's a big responsibility, really. Thousands of species (many with opposable thumbs) look to me for moral guidance, answers to questions about the meaning of life, and above all, really cool synth music.

(Okay, okay. I'm not the king of the universe. I just ran out of stuff to brag about so I started making it up. That doesn't make me a bad person, does it?)
